To solve Continental Math League (CML) questions you can use pictures, numbers, and words. On a CML test there are six questions. All CML questions are complex, especially the contest ones. In CML there are the four main operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). There is also geometry, fractions and measurement. All CML content is above the grade level. On a Continental Math League test, getting all six questions right is stupendous!

Most CML questions are like this:

"On a passenger train, there were 11 cars with an equal number of passengers of each car. When 2 cars had to be removed, each remaining car had to take on 8 additional passengers. What was the total number of passegers on the train?"

This was taken from question 46 in the book The Best of CML Grades 4-6 2001-2005.
